PHNOM PENH, June 20 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia attracted a total of 2.95 million international tourists in the first five months of 2025, up 11.7 percent from 2.64 million in the same period last year, Prime Minister Hun Manet said here on Friday.
"This truly shows their confidence in Cambodia's peace, stability, economic balance, and social security," he said in a speech during an event with hundreds of investors and business executives.
The top five markets of arrivals to the kingdom were Thailand, Vietnam, China, the United States and Laos, according to the Ministry of Tourism.
Tourism is one of the four pillars supporting Cambodia's economy, in addition to garment, footwear and travel goods export, agriculture, and construction and real estate. ■
